Property Tax and Rent Rebate | Reduced Fee Auto Registration ![]() If you are a senior citizen, care for a senior family member, or are just looking for more information or guidance on services for seniors, visit Susquehanna Health System's Senior Citizen Information Centers. Our trained volunteers can help you sort through difficult or confusing issues such as insurance and prescription coverage and also provide information and application forms for transportation, property tax/rent rebate, and a host of other services available to area seniors. Property Tax and Rent RebateQualified senior citizens may benefit from a rent or property tax rebate offered through the Pennsylvania State Lottery. Fifty percent of Social Security income can be excluded from the total family income, up to $35,000. Applications and assistance are available at the Senior Citizens Information Center. Pennsylvania Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program Reduced Fee Auto RegistrationRetirees with incomes under $19,200 per year are eligible for a reduced auto registration fee of $10 per year for those who qualify. PACE and PACENET QualificationsPACE and PACENET assist all income eligible Pennsylvania residents 65 years of age or older with prescription coverage for most medications as well as insulin, insulin syringes and insulin needles. To be eligible for PACE, your previous calendar year's income must be less than $14,500 single or less than $17,700 married. If eligible, your co-payment is $6 for generic drugs and $9 for brand name drug. To be eligible for PACENET, your previous calendar year's income must be between $14,500 and $23,500 single or between $17,700 and $31,500 married. If eligible, you will have to meet a $40 per person monthly deductible. Once you meet your deductible, your co-payment is $8 for generic drugs and $15 for brand name drugs. Reduced Fare TransportationSenior citizens ages 65 and older, able to show proof of their age, are eligible to register for senior transportation services using City Bus and Lycoming-Clinton Transportation Services.
