Imaging

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

With an open magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system and a high-field strength MRI, our patients benefit from the latest in medical imaging technology with superior performance. With these two full-time units available, patients are seen fast while their doctors receive the results from their scans quickly.

CT Scan (Computer Tomography)

A CT Scan (Computed Tomography) is a computerized X-ray test to study cross-section views of your head or body. Available at Muncy Valley Hospital and Regional Medical Center.

Nuclear Medicine

Nuclear Medicine uses small, safe doses of radioactive materials to make pictures of the body's interior and to tell how well an organ or part of the body is working. A Nuclear Medicine test uses a scanner that works much like a camera.

PET/CT Scan (Positron Emission Tomography)

PET/CT is state-of-the-art technology that gives us unique information about your body. It's a safe, reliable way to diagnose a number of conditions including cancer, heart disease and Alzheimer's disease.

Bone Densitometry

Bone densitometry is a simple, noninvasive test that is fast and painless. This test measures the bone mineral content and density of specific bone sites that are most susceptible to fractures due to osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound, sometimes referred to as a sonogram, is a test that uses high speed sound waves to see your internal organs and the blood flow in vessels.

Digital Mammography

Digital Mammography is a low-dose X-ray that detects small changes in the breast, especially those not felt during a breast examination. It can detect 90-95 percent of all breast cancers.
