5/20/2009 Vice President of Operations & Administrator of Divine Providence Hospital Attains Top Healthcare Management CredentialRonald J. Reynolds, FACHE, Vice President of Operations & Administrator of Divine Providence Hospital, recently attained board certification in healthcare management and became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), a professional society dedicated to promoting the highest standards of professional, educational and leadership performance; the highest ethical standards and conduct; and the advancement of healthcare management excellence.
This prestigious distinction is bestowed only after the individual presents to the Credentialing Committee evidence of professional growth and competence in the field. To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement. Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.
Fellowship in ACHE represents the achievement of the highest standard of professional development with only 10 percent of ACHE affiliates achieving board certification as a fellow. In an accompanying communication from ACHE, it was noted that by becoming an ACHE Fellow, healthcare leaders show that they are committed to providing high-quality service to their patients and community.
Reynolds received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Lafayette College, holds an MBA from Kutztown University, and a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh. As Administrator of the Divine Providence Hospital Campus, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a $199 million organization.
