The Muncy Valley Hospital Lawn Party celebrated its 25th anniversary in style this year—raising a record $50,000! This brings the event’s total to $545,500 over 25 years. The Lawn Party committee designates funds each year to be used for improvements to the hospital or for the purchase of new equipment for the hospital or Skilled Nursing Unit. This year’s proceeds went toward the purchase of purchase a new mini-van, which provides more comfortable transport of Skilled Nursing Unit residents. A donation of $5,000 was also made to Susquehanna Health’s Project 2012 to renovate and expand the number of private patient rooms on the second floor of Muncy Valley Hospital. Muncy Valley Hospital Auxiliary sponsors this annual event along with the many sponsors, volunteers and vendors that support the Lawn Party.
