Who can volunteer?

Anyone over the age of 14 can volunteer. We are seeking bright, energetic and outgoing individuals to contribute a positive attitude within our hospitals.

How does one apply?

What hours do volunteers work?

Most volunteers work a three-to-four hour shift, once a week, between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. Additional times may be available depending on the department to which they are assigned.

Where do volunteers work?

Volunteers serve in many areas of our hospitals and perform a variety of tasks, including customer service, patient care and office support such as assistance with filing, answering telephones, running errands and computer work.

What does a volunteer wear while working in the hospital?

Volunteers are required to wear a volunteer jacket or uniform shirt (costing $10-13) and a name badge that is provided at the hospital. Business casual attire is required when wearing a volunteer jacket. Blue jeans, cropped pants and sandals are not allowed. Additional information about appropriate attire is provided during orientation.

What can be expected at volunteer orientation?

Volunteer orientation includes taking a tour of the hospital, meeting the staff, discussing hospital policies and procedures and getting answers to your questions.
