Observations | Internships | Information For Colleges/Universities Observing professionals at work can give both students searching for a career path and adults looking to change careers a real-life glimpse of a profession. Our Department of Volunteer Services coordinates observations whenever possible. If you are interested in observing a professional at work please contact us.
Anyone in 10th grade or above may request to observe a professional at work. No application is required. InternshipsHow Can I Get An Internship With SH?To be eligible for an internship at Susquehanna Health, the student's technical school, college or university must be an academic affiliate with SH. This must be an agreement written by SH and signed by both parties. Please call 570-326-8400 to verify current agreement.

To participate in an internship with Susquehanna Health, universities and institutions must sign and submit SHS's Academic Agreement. The agreement must be signed by the President of the institution or an authorized representative, and returned to Susquehanna Health. To request an Academic Agreement, contact: Volunteer Services Institutions must fill out an application, reviewed by the Academic Affiliation Review Commitee. Download Application Health Careers Summer Camp For High School StudentsThe 2008 Annual Health Careers Camp is scheduled for June 11-13 at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Sponsored by Susquehanna Health and Penn College, the three-day, two-night camp is designed for students in grades 9-12 interested in learning more about healthcare careers. Participants will learn about a range of healthcare careers including:
The camp includes hands-on and interactive activities and workshops, including guided tours of various hospital departments. Fun activities are planned for the evenings, including recreation in the Student Center at Penn College, movie night and a luncheon for campers and their families. Students will also receive information about attending Penn College, Susquehanna Health's VolunTEEN program and financial aid. Register online at www.pct.edu/healthcamp.
