Healthy Woman Project
The Healthy Woman Project, funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, is a breast and cervical cancer screening program for women age 40 and over who are of low income, uninsured or underinsured. Women under the age of 40 can also be eligible if they meet certain criteria, such as having a previous abnormal clinical breast exam or abnormal cervical Pap test. Eligible women receive free breast and cervical cancer screenings, including clinical breast exam and breast self exam education, cancer education including risk factors, pelvic exam and Pap smear, screening or diagnostic mammography and other diagnostic testing as indicated, including breast biopsies, follow-up and treatment. |
