To provide patients with the best in advanced eye care procedures, Muncy Valley Eye Center offers a highly trained staff of surgeons, registered nurses and surgical technicians, three modern operating suites and specialized surgical equipment. Patients in the region needing eye surgery are referred by their ophthalmologists to Muncy Valley Eye Center for surgery.

    • Endoscopic Cyclo Photocoagulation (ECP); performed during cataract surgery, this innovative laser procedure treats glaucoma, often eliminating the need for a patient to use therapeutic eye drops on a daily basis.
    • Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT); a convenient office procedure for glaucoma treatment.

  • Cataract extraction; secondary cataract extraction using the YAG laser procedure.

Before surgery, patients undergo Preadmission Testing (PAT) in the PAT department at Muncy Valley Hospital. On the day of the surgery patients are taken to the Same Day Services area. After surgery a family or friend will need to drive the patient from the hospital.
