On your path to healing, you may need services outside of those offered at the Cancer Center. We have several healthcare facilities that can offer personalized care services, and, in addition, we also provide a range of “at-home” services. A member of your nursing team can direct you to the care unit or service program that can meet your unique needs.

Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice

Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice is the region's largest, most comprehensive home healthcare company, offering a complete range of services including: traditional visiting nurse services, hospice and private duty services. We provide these services in the comfort and safety of your own home, which we believe will help get you on the path to healing more quickly.

Many people faced with the realization that they are terminally ill choose to remain at home with family and friends. With our Hospice services, patients receive the care and treatment they need in the comfort and security of their own home. Using a medically supervised team approach, family members participate in the patient's care, which helps bring a measure of tranquility to the patient's state of mind. Access to Hospice care is available through our on-call system, 24/7.

The Gatehouse (Inpatient Hospice Unit)

Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice recognizes that home is the best place for Hospice patients. However, remaining at home isn't always possible. That's why we opened The Gatehouse, a seven-bed unit on the Divine Providence Hospital Campus.

By providing a peaceful, home-like environment, The Gatehouse makes a difficult time easier for both patients and their families. Families can spend quality time with their loved one in a private bedroom suite, a comfortable family room, a kitchen and a meditation room – all while the patient receives around-the-clock, skilled nursing care to manage their difficult symptoms.

The Gatehouse is available to patients who need specialized pain and symptom management, who are experiencing a family crisis or who are actively dying. Stays in The Gatehouse range from 3-10 days, depending on the patient's needs and health status.

Emergency Services

Our Emergency Department at The Williamsport Hospital & Medical Center Campus has two separate treatment areas: Emergency and UrgiCenter. The medical staff in the Emergency area treats all patients with a life-threatening condition. All other patients receive care in our UrgiCenter. In this way, we can treat our patients in a timely and efficient manner based on their injury or illness.

The Emergency Department at our Muncy Valley Hospital provides easy access to a full range of emergency services for residents in the eastern part of Lycoming County.

Rehabilitative Services

For more than 40 years, Rehabilitative Services has been providing personalized care for patients with a physical or neurological injury. We are a regional leader in rehabilitative medicine, helping those who have suffered debilitating injuries to regain their highest level of independence. We provide services on all three campuses of Susquehanna Health, as well as in our Skilled Nursing Unit at the Muncy Valley Hospital.

Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit

The Skilled Nursing Unit in Muncy offers Christian-based holistic care and comfort and a wide range of services for patients who need specialized long-term care, as well as patients who require rehabilitation for shorter stays. Private rooms, sunny family alcoves, a full-service rehabilitation room designed for occupational, physical, speech, recreational and restorative therapies and large dining/recreation areas are features of this beautiful, home-like facility. Each resident, no matter how long or short their stay, receives personalized care from a staff of nurses, social workers and activities therapists.

Bridge Program

The Bridge Program is designed for patients who have a life-limiting or terminal disease. Patients in the Bridge Program continue aggressive treatment but receive specialized Hospice care, though they do not yet embrace the Hospice philosophy. The Bridge Program is appropriately used as a stepping stone for those considering end-of-life options, while still pursuing assertive treatment.
