Nursing Care
The goal of your nursing care is to keep you and your new baby together as much as possible. This helps to build closeness as well as increase your confidence in caring for your baby once you are home. Your nurse will encourage you to have your baby in your room as much as you would like and will help you to care for the baby. Your baby will, however, be welcome in the nursery at any time. Your nurse also teaches you how to take care of yourself and your baby once you are discharged from the hospital.
