Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient Services includes evaluation, psychotherapy, psychology and psychiatry to adults and children.

To participate in an Outpatient program, a patient can be referred by their physician, request services on their own or be referred by a community agency.

Psychotherapy

Issues addressed in Outpatient Services include behavioral management and school related problems with children, depression, anxiety, marital and family difficulties, post-traumatic stress, victimization issues related to verbal, physical or sexual abuse and more general problems that may occur throughout the course of one's life.

Psychiatry

Our psychiatrists meet individually with patients in their offices on the Divine Providence Hospital campus. They also work closely with the services of Susquehanna Behavioral Health Center which allows for easier transition and access when one of their patients may benefit from a service. During treatment, our psychiatrists primarily use psychotherapy and when necessary, prescribe medications. They work with patients of all ages suffering from psychosis, mood disorders, anxiety or depression.

Like the psychologists, upon receiving consent, our psychiatrists communicate frequently with the referring physician about their patient's treatment plan and progress.

Psychology

The primary focus of our psychology area is inpatient care for physical rehabilitation and behavioral medicine. At the request of another behavioral health professional, a psychologist may provide outpatient psychological testing.
